Powerful Nigeria Queens that made history.

Apart from the diligent works of some history kings, some Queens also made history by fighting for the peace and freedom of their people. In the past Nigeria history, Queens and kings consider the people of their kingdom as a part of their family and they protect them to the extreme. Here in this article, we will talk about three memorable Queens in the history of Nigeria.
1. Queen Amina of Zaria: Aminatu was a hausa Muslim historical figure in the city state zazzau ( present day city of Zaria in kaduna state), in what is now in the northern part of Nigeria. After the death of her parents who are king and queen, Aminatu distinguished herself as a leading warrior in her brother's cavalry and gained notoriety for her military skills.


2. Queen Moremi of ile Ife kingdom: Moremi Ajasoro as formally called was a legendary Yoruba Queen who was said to have assisted in the liberation of the Yoruba kingdom of the Yoruba kingdom of ile Ife from the neighbouring Ugbo kingdom.


3. Idia, Benin, Nigeria: Idia was the mother of Esigie, oba Benin who was the first Nigerian to speak a foreign language. She played a significant role in the rise and reign of her son. Being described as a great warrior who fought relentlessly before and during her son's reign as the oba of the Edo people.
