A breast lump is a mass that develops in the breast.

Causes of Breast Lumps
There are many possible causes of breast lump, they are;
1. Lipoma
2. Fat necrosis
3. Breast cancer
4. An abscess or infection
5. Fibroadenoma (noncancerous rubbery lumps that move easily within the breast tissue )
6. Breast infection such as mastitis
7. Breast cysts (soft, fluid-filled sacs)
8. Changes in the breast tissue (fibrocystic changes)
9. Intraductal papilloma(non-cancerous tumor in a milk duct)
Signs And Symptoms Of Breast Lump
1. If you discover a new lump
2. If you have an inverted nipple
3. If a lump changes or grows larger than before
4. If a lump does not go away after menstruation
5. If your breast is bruised for no apparent reason
6. If you notice bloody discharge from the nipple
7. If the skin of your breast is red or begins to pucker.
8. If an area of your breast is noticeably different than the rest.
When To See A Doctor
If you have any of the aforementioned signs, you should try to see a doctor for breast examination.
