Okra contains fructans, a type of carbohydrate that can cause gastrointestinal problems, according to Medical News Today. In persons who already have digestive issues, fructans can produce diarrhea, gas, cramps, and bloating.
2. Those who have kidney stones.
Oxalates, which are abundant in okra, can induce kidney stones. The most common type of kidney stone is calcium oxalate. Okra and spinach, which are high in oxalate, may increase the risk of kidney
stones in people who have already had them.
