Biography

Kemi Smallz was born on the 8th of January, 1990 in Lagos state where she also grew up. She was born
into a family of seven where she is the first child. Her mother who is an interior decorator hails from Bayelsa State while her father is an artist (Sculptor) and hails from Ondo state.

She bagged a degree in English from the University of Lagos. Kemi hasn’t made her relationship status
public yet or shown a public display of love to anyone. The Big Brother Naija lockdown edition winner, Laycon has made his feelings for Kemi known publicly but she hasn’t responded yet.

Career

Her career started professionally at a very young age. At the age of 14 she worked for Tales Africa, Kiddies Island, Generation Next on MITV, and MBI as a kid presenter.
Kemi rose to the limelight after she emerged as one of the top 3 finalists from a pool of 3000 contestants in the 2013 edition of the MTV VJ Search. In 2013 she worked as a presenter and contributor to Men’s Corner and on a reality show on Ebonylifetv at
city105.1 FM and worked for the radio station through till 2017.
Her career experience enormous growth during her stay at City105.1 FM where she went on to win
several awards which are listed in her award section below. She has worked as the content developer for GoldmyneTV and currently works at cool 96.9fm alongside the likes of Dotun, Daddy Freeze, and
Manny where she hosts The Night Cruise every weekday from 9:00 pm – 12:00 am.
She is the voice behind the commercials for Park & shop and Spar, Ebeanor, D’prince supermarket, Just Write supermarket, Hubmart, and Mega plaza. In October 2017 she made her television debut when she appeared on DSTV as part of the five cats members of EbonyLife TV’s reality TV show “Moving up the squad”. She also featured on EL TV’s “on the spot” and MTV base’ “FitFam”.
