Retired investigative journalist and writer, Kemi Olunloyo has taken to her #twitter page to reveal a part of her career that many people may not be aware of . She further commented on her knowledge of the current Igbo singers and why #gospel music should never have been a genre.


On her twitter page, Kemi Olunloyo said "19/28 years of journalism, I was a music journalist. All the Igbo singers people are dropping, I've never heard of.
Gospel music should never have been a genre.
Anyone can sing praises. Stop fooling your mentality.
Gospel music should not have been commercialized"

The popular journalist said she doesn't know most of the current crop of Igbo singers although she has spent a large part of her career as a music journalist.
She also said people should not be making money from gospel music and that it's not a genre.

"You Shall Not Die"- Osinachi Nwachukwu's Children Pray For Her On Her Last Birthday (Throwback Video)

A video showing the moment the children of late #Gospel singer, Osinachi Nwachukwu, were praying for her at her last birthday, has been shared online, IGBERETV reports.
In the video, the deceased gospel singer was on her knees as her children took turns to pray for her during her birthday last year.
Turn by turn the children prayed for God to grant their mother long life. They prayed for her not to die and for her to continue to sing and win souls for God.
Sadly, she passed away last Friday 8th April, 2022 from injuries she allegedly sustained after she was allegedly attacked by her husband, Peter Nwachukwu.

I Was Kidnapped And Tortured For 3 Days By Bandits - Gospel Singer, Tosin Alao Speaks

Popular Nigerian #Gospel Singer, Tosin Alao has recently opened up on his experience with Kidnappers.


Speaking in a recent interview with Amina Tairu, Tosin Alao revealed how he and his crew were kidnapped on their way to Kogi state to perform. He said they were attacked with dangerous weapons like Cutlass, guns, and others after entering Kabba in Kogi state.
The Gospel singer narrated how they were attacked and forcefully taken from their car and made to trek for hours to the kidnapper's hideout. He said they threatened to kill him for slowing their movement while they were trekking. The bandits kept them, beat and tortured them for 3 days while requesting ransom from their loved ones.


Speaking further, he told the public that these bandits are not illiterates and they know what they are doing. He said "They are not illiterates, they know what they are doing even though they are not educated. They understand what they are doing. They speak to people in the communication and network world."

Tosin Alao suffered a great deal in the hands of these bandits but he was later released alongside his crew members after the ransom was paid. The singer said these events still play in his head and he sometimes experiences difficulty sleeping.

Buchi Atuonwu And His Wife Celebrate 26th Wedding Anniversary (Photos)

#Gospel singer Buchi Atuonwu has celebrated his 26th wedding anniversary on November 26, Igbere TV reports.
The 57-year-old shared a picture of himself and wife on #Twitter.

“It’s our anniversary again, It’s dancing time again, Turning 26 on the 26th. Union ital, date
crucial. Perfect complemento!” he wrote on Thursday.

Buchi has four children, a boy and three girls.
His daughter Olachi Atuonwu graduated with a first class degree from Babcock University, Ogun
