Tutorial: How To Rank Your Images On Google

You may not know it but images are good ways to get your site, even more, visibility on google and I will show you just how to do so in this post.
Images can help you in different ways but
the most important thing about them is that
it helps your users understand what you are
trying to say better and this is enough reason
to start using them.
Speaking in terms of SEO, you will probably
want to
rank your site content and images
for some specific keywords and this is cool
especially for images.
Some people believe that better images
ranking will help you yo attain better overall
ranking. while I don't know the validity of
this statement, I can say that there is an
element of truth in it because ranking for
your images means that your site actually
provides visual content which google and
everyone else knows is important to convey
your message across to the user easily and in
no time, so why won't you try to
rank your
images?
Here are some tips to improve your
image ranking
1. Low size: Compress your images, keep
them under 60Kb.
2. Keep them larger, for instance; 900px
x 900px or 900px x 600px because
they convey messages better than the
much smaller ones.
3. Use fresh images, stay away from

4. Don't download and reuse; images
online. I already spoke about
downloading and using images from
google and how they can stop you
from
getting an Adsense account due
to copyright issues
5. Rename your images. Example;
image-serach-engine-optimization-
entertainment-bloggers.jpg
6. Use Title tags. Very important for
Search engine because it shows what
the image is all about on hovering.
also helps the disabled understand
your page.
7. Use alt tags
8. Rename your uploads with whatever
you wanna rank for while maintaining
seo sanity
9. Cc license

license

These are basically images you can download
from google and reuse them because the
owner has filed a license enabling free reuse
of such images.
Google will probably want to display such
images because people mostly look for
images they can use.
